SIC Volume 35 Blade

Packaging:
The box is just your typical SIC box with the front cover made of clear plastic so you could view the figure while the figure is still in MISB (Mint In Sealed Box) form and the back shows some pictures of the figure doing a bit of poses. Overall, the box looks very good in terms of appearance.

After popping out the contents of the box, the first thing you could notice is that there is a hell of a lot of twisties. I actually don't mind the twisties but damn...this thing is loaded with a lot of them that it actually is a pain in the ass to remove them all. And as you can see, SIC Blade kinda has only a few accessories. Also, if you have noticed, SIC Blade only has 2 extra sets of hands. This is the only SIC that I know that has the least amount of hands.

The figure pt. 1:

This thing is really detailed from every part of the body and every bit of the armor. Design...hands down, this thing wins in that category. Compared to my other SICs that I currently have, this one is the only one that has the most details on the armor parts. Pretty much, IMO, the SIC Blade line is the last SIC line that had really amazing designs. For articulation, this thing is pretty flexible and can do a lot of good poses.

Knee pads and shin armors are made of metal parts.

Those things on the lower arm of Blade is also made of metal.

Hell, even the butt is detailed with blue panel lines. Kinda awkward but looks really cool. XD

Sorry for blurry shot. By the way, the belt is also metal and it actually gives a nice feel and realism to it.

Seriously, that's got to be one of the fiercest looking SIC Kamen Rider.

But kinda looks nerdy when you remove the clear part on its face. lol

The Blay Rouzer's blade is also made of metal. Yeah, it looks more realistic that way but trouble is, it is kinda heavy and at often times, the hand of Blade sags down because of the weight. Besides the amount of details on the whole sword, what is really cool about the Blay Rouzer is that there's the mechanism where you can fan out the cards when Blade is preparing for an attack. Talk about intricate designing. lol

Forgot to replace the head when I took the pic. Just upped it for a little lulz. lol

Accessories:

Pretty much, the really notable accessories that this volume has are the Blade King Form parts which you can swap to transform it into Blade King Form and the King Rouzer which is one big heavy chunk of detailed plastic. For most SIC fans, the King Form is the real main selling point of this volume.

The Figure pt. 2:
Like the Ace Form (the 'normal' for those who could get confused with the name of the forms), every part of armor is intricately detailed. The gold metallic paint is also really awesome. Though this form looks good in terms of design, the articulation kinda falls short when it is in this form. The arms have more restricted articulation because of the really big shoulder pauldrons and the legs can't really bend that well compared to how it can bend when in Ace Form.

As you can see, there is a peg at the back of the armor of Blade King Form. You could actually connect the King Rouzer to that peg and make it look like Blade is carrying the King Rouzer on his back.

Well, that's all for my take on SIC Blade. Overall, this is one of the coolest SICs that is out there in the market and I seriously, SERIOUSLY recommend this one to SIC fans or those who have just suddenly took interest at it because of its looks.

Articulation: 4 out of 5 (Already pretty decent, IMO)
Design: 5 out of 5 (No questions needed to be asked.)
Accessories: 4.5 out of 5 (Though few accessories, this volume has no unnecessary accessories.)
Price: 5 out of 5 (I shelled in 4,800 philippine pesos for this one. Kinda pricy but IMO, no matter how much this one costs, it is all worth it. Just don't buy one when it exceeds 5K. That's already overpricing. For those who wonder where I got mine, I ordered this from Greattoys.)
Verdict: 4.5 out of 5.

To buy or not to buy:
Definitely, to buy.

That's all for my take on SIC Blade. Thank

HMM Blade Liger Mirage

This is my first Zoid and my first HMM (High-end Master Model) and I say, I really, REALLY like this thing. Two things that I liked about this thing:
1. No stickers.
2. So many parts.
Sadly, as the price is really painful for my wallet (hey, I'm just a student) there is nothing special about this kit besides the great details. I got this thing for 3,600 philippine pesos (bought it from Coldfire Gundam in Facebook). I really am happy that I got this model because, IMO, this model is really good. The white parts are pearl white and the claws, teeth, and blade are gold color, making this piece rather lively when displayed.

Anyway, on to the pics.

Basically, this is the upper side of the box. Never mind the sheet of wet decals (those are for my MG Unicorn).

After popping off the lid of the box, this are what you will get:

Yes, gentlemen and ladies, it's a sea of plastic. I counted the runners (including the small ones) and I think the number of runners in this kit is about 50 runners. That's really a lot.

As for the manual, it is a 26 page manual full of ZOID stuff and whatnot.

Back:

Well, this thing took me 5 days to build (each part of the body took me about 4 to 6 hours to build). This thing is really complicated. Each part has so many parts that are needed to build it. But at least it was a fun snap building for me.

Fortunately, I took some pics of the parts before I put them on.
Head:

This part took me 6 hours to build. I dunno if I am really just a slow builder or this thing is really complicated. Still, this part of the liger is my favorite because the teeth are really sharp and a lot of movable parts for this part.

I tells you, the blades are really long and pointed at the end.

Feet:

Claws are pointed and this part has the ugliest nub mark I ever seen in a plastic model.

Legs:

I did a little height comparison to NG 1/100 00-Raiser and I say, it is rather short. Well, that still does not change my opinion about HMM Blade Liger Mirage though.

And completed model plus height and size comparison again:

Though it is a bit short, it is still rather quite large if you compare the body sizes. And this thing is a real beauty after building this thing. Let the following pics justify my opinion:

Methinks BL Mirage does not like 00-Raiser.

Everything in this model is just perfect IMO except for the decals. Dunno if it is just me but the decals are rather more fragile than the ones intended for gunplas, thus, me ending up ruining many of em. Still, I at least managed to place do the decaling decently.

So anyway, that's it for my HMM Blade Liger Mirage. Hope you liked this post. :D
